Former White House intern Monica Lewinsky, who was made famous after having “sexual relations” with then-President Bill Clinton in the Oval Office, said on Sunday that she has been hired as a special advisor to the Hillary Clinton 2016 Presidential campaign.
Lewinsky, ironically clad in a blue dress during her interview on Fox News,said that Hillary is “the only candidate with a clear and sensible vision for America,” remarking that “she’s on the verge of finally getting through that last piece of glass,” a reference to Clinton’s 2008 concession speech.
“I think Hillary Clinton is exactly the sort of strong, intelligent, well dressed leader this country needs,” Lewinsky said. “Her domestic policy experience as a Senator and her foreign policy experience as Secretary of State give her an unrivaled understanding of the many issues our nation is facing today. And while Republicans just want to say `no’ to everything, and have a platform of turning back everything Obama accomplished, Hillary’s campaign is one of ideas.Whereas they all say no,Hillary and I say 'Yes'."
When asked what she thought Bill Clinton’s role as the White House’s “First Gentleman” might be, Lewinsky laughed. “I haven’t really thought about that. But I would love to see him in the White House again. I think we all would. I’d love to see him in the Oval Office, sniffing one of his cigars, eating… he’s… I think America wants to see him there again.I can promise I will be working closely with both Clintons to do what needs to be done.”
Fox News' Jenna Jameson, apparently sensing an opportunity, dove straight in for the big question on everyone’s mind."Do you think Ms.Clinton would offer you any sort of position at the White House if she is elected."
“I don't know really, I think she may,” Lewinsky replied. “When I was there I worked many different positions. Despite everything that happened in the past, it would be an honor and a privilege to work under a great man like Bill Clinton again. He has such an impressive mind and the sort of attention to detail you really want out of a leader. A world leader.I am qualified for many things and can bring a lot to the table.”
Lewinsky will begin her duties this week in New Hampshire and has reportedly spent the entire day in video conference with the former President mapping out their strategy.
