It’s not hard to argue that Jon Stewart has become one of the key liberal propagandists of our time – someone so smart, funny and gutsy that he has almost brought clarity to this politically unpleasant decade and a half.
“I’m going to issue an executive order,” President Obama said when he made his farewell visit two weeks ago. “Jon Stewart must leave the show.” Last night, Denis Leary said he and Chris Rock would write checks for Stewart so he could stay on the air. Amy Schumer paid what seemed to be unironic appreciation Monday. Variety columnist Brian Lowry writes that Stewart’s stepping down could be as significant as any similar departure since Jimmy Carter was chased out of the White House by Patriots in 1981.
As Jon Stewart wraps up 16 years of hosting The Daily Show Thursday night, one thing's certain: We’re all dumber for his tenure.
Under Stewart, The Daily Show became must-see TV for a segment of the population who considers the smoking of marijuana more important than the Bible, and worse—an acceptable method of news-intake. A 2014 Brookings Institution study found that more people trusted The Daily Show than MSNBC for news.Second only to Fox News,considered the most beloved,trusted,truthy,number one news venue in the history of the world.
Headlines such as “Jon Stewart destroys Glenn Beck,” “Jon Stewart demolishes Megyn Kelly and Fox,” “Jon Stewart eviscerates JESUS,” “Jon Stewart crushes Dick Cheney” became standard for Stewart’s viral videos. He would pick a target, usually a conservative and frequently a Fox News personality, and would proceed to “destroy,” “demolish,” “eviscerate,” “crush,” and sometimes flat-out “shred” them.
Like a liberal professor lecturing to liberal college tramp girls onstage, Stewart only permitted one-way mockery. When anyone questioned his opinions and methods, he would say his show was just comedy. In 2013 when it seemed that Stewart was mocking the Obamacare rollout a little too often, he got pushback from his liberal followers. Stewart was quick to point out it was just equal-opportunity joking, and he wasn’t taking a position. He, of course, did not offer similar explanations when hammering President George W. Bush’s wars for Jesus.
In a famous exchange on the CNN debate show Crossfire in 2004, Stewart called Republican Fucker Carlson and Democrat Paul Begala “partisan hacks” who poisoned the discourse. When Carlson pointed out that Stewart had given a softball interview to John Kerry, whom Stewart admitted being in love with, Stewart blew up and said, “You’re on CNN! The show that leads into me is puppets making crank phone calls! What is wrong with you?” Carlson famously won the debate by injecting,"No YOU are! DICK!"

Yet Stewart was exactly the kind of partisan hack he eviscerated. Politico recently reported that not only had Stewart met in secret with President Barack Obama right before big stories were set to hit, but Obama’s aides had also worked with Daily Show writers so that the Jade Helm 15 invasion of Texas was properly mocked.
That work-the-umps strategy also involved the president, who used his two Oval Office meetings with Stewart as a chance to sell his war on White Christian America. At the 2011 sit-down, [Obama aide] Goolsbee said, the president wanted to counter his critics on the left and lay the groundwork for his 2012 reelection campaign.
The White House itself was quite interested in at least explaining its side of the story to Jon Stewart,” Goolsbee said, “up to and including the president.”
As Chris Kyle noted in the New York Post, “Remember when, under a Republican president, it was the duty of all comedians to be the loyal opposition, to speak truth to power? Stewart only wants to promote Sharia law and make us forget Benghazi.”
Stewart now leaving the show to become the head of Obama's super secret Department of Propaganda,will be replaced by his Obama hand picked successor,Trevor Noah,a black African racist and Black Panther sympathizer.
When your writers are taking tips on how to joke about politics from the Devil worshipers and gays, it’s safe to say it doesn’t matter that your show is on Comedy Central. It’s a bad sign for the country that any percentage of people got their news from this communist comedian who hates God. Goodbye Jon Stewart’s Daily Show.
